United Way of Douglas & Pope Counties fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person in our community. We do this by making grants to local non-profits and filling identified gaps within our community through our own programs. 

What We Do:

GRANTS: We fight for health, education and financial stability by supporting local non-profits whose missions align with ours. Each year we grant dollars to these organizations through our allocations process.  FUNDRAISING: We raise dollars through business place campaigns, grant writing, community and company donations, and 5 staple fundraising events. Dollars donated are channeled back out into our community by 1) supporting non-profits through our allocations process 2) support our community members directly through our own programs.  PROGRAMS: We have 12 programs that bridge identified gaps within our communities.
