United Way Grant Opportunities
Brief Description: United Way of Douglas & Pope Counties is requesting proposals to help us achieve our goals within Health, Education and Financial Stability.
Application Opens: January 15, 2024
Application Deadline: March 15, 2024; 5pm Central Time (No late applications will be accepted)
Funding Amount Range: $1,000-$25,000
Eligible Organizations:
- 501c3 Nonprofit Organizations
- Schools
- Government Agencies
- Geographic Area
- Grants must serve residents within Douglas & Pope Counties.
Funding Priority Areas and Goals:
See attached for specific focus areas.
- Health – Individuals/Families have opportunities to improve their mental health.
- Education – Children enter school ready & prepared to be successful. Youth gain the knowledge and skills to be successful in their career and future.
- Financial Stability – Individuals/Families have opportunities for employment, enhanced financial literacy and their basic needs met.
We do not fund:
- Individuals
- Religious organizations for religious purposes
- Political organizations or political campaigns
Grant Application Process:
- Submit your application online using the Community Force Grant Management System. https://uwdpfunding.communityforce.com
- Agencies present to and interview with a community grant review panel in April 2024.
- The UWDP Board of Directors approves grant amounts and makes final funding decisions.
- Agencies/Organizations will be notified in June 2024 of any award amounts.
- Specific grant reporting will be due at the conclusion of the grant cycle.
Payout of Grants: Quarterly beginning in July 2024.
