Winter Wear Collection
We provide coats and warm winter accessories for Douglas and Pope County families free of charge.
Donations:
Collecting donations from October 2nd - October 12th, 2023.
Donations of all sizes are needed! Gently used coats, hats, gloves, snowpants, scarves & boots are accepted. Please make sure items are warm, washed and have working zippers! Drop off your donations at the United Way office during our collection period. No late donations please!
Hosting a Collection:
Businesses and groups are welcome to host a Winter Wear Collection on behalf of United Way.
- Please use your own box or container to collect items
- Close your collection on or before October 12th, 2023
- Use the flyer below to promote your event and hang on your collection box
- Please plan to drop off all items on October 12th or October 13th. We receive a large volume of items and we have recruited volunteers to help us over these two days!
Need Winter Wear?
There are no income guidelines or qualifications to receive items. We ask that individuals and families only take one of each item that they, or their immediate family members, are in need of.
